We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Lead Researcher to study the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying development and disease. Our research integrates developmental biology, cancer biology, and translational science to investigate how gene regulatory networks and cellular processes control tissue development and homeostasis, and how their disruption drives disease. Current projects include retinal aging and disease, super-enhancer biology, intratumoral heterogeneity, and advanced tumor model development, aimed at identifying novel therapeutic targets and advancing treatments for children with cancer. The successful candidate will utilize a variety of molecular, biochemical, and cell biology approaches to support these research programs and generate data that advance our understanding of developmental and disease mechanisms. This position requires the ability to work with some independence on assigned responsibilities while collaborating effectively with investigators, scientists, and research team members in a highly interactive research environment. The ideal candidate will have moderate proficiency in common molecular biology and biochemical assays, including techniques such as DNA/RNA isolation, PCR/qPCR, protein detection assays, and cell-based assays. This role also offers exciting opportunities for professional growth through training and participation in cutting-edge human stem cell and tumor organoid culture research, providing exposure to next generation in vitro model systems and translational research applications.
