Job summary

Tiger BioSciences in the United States is seeking a Research Scientist to lead investigations and development of human cell and tissue-based products. You will own projects from design to budgeting, coordinating with Product Development and Marketing teams.

Responsibilities include experimental design, data analysis, QA practices, vendor relations, and staff training to ensure compliant, timely research outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a scientific discipline with post‑doctoral experience plus 1 year of industry experience
• Master’s degree with a thesis in a scientific discipline plus 3 years of industry may substitute to meet doctoral requirements
• At least 2 years of project management experience required
• At least 3 years of research and development experience required
• Experience in technical writing with peer‑reviewed manuscripts and technical reports
• Experience using complex statistical software (e.g., GraphPad Prism)
• Experience in tissue banking is preferred
• Clearance of favorable background investigation required

Responsibilities

• Own & develop project deliverables for new product technologies and process improvements
• Manage project activities, maintain schedules, and provide weekly updates
• Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to execute research projects
• Support engineers in scaling manufacturing processes and resolving issues
• Process human cells, tissues, and cellular products from donations as needed
• Conduct literature reviews, design experiments, analyze data, ensure regulatory compliance
• Train associate staff in lab and documentation best practices
• Perform in vitro or in vivo assays (in-house or externally sourced)
• Develop, validate and implement assay protocols for new test methods
• Prepare protocols, reports, proposals and presentations
• Operate and maintain scientific test equipment
• Maintain laboratory resources and materials
• Establish relationships with vendors for sourcing testing equipment
• Implement QA practices in project activities
• Maintain research integrity and compliance with FDA and ISO standards
• Maintain attendance and punctuality for scheduled work hours
• Complete tasks within defined timeframes
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned
