Join to apply for the Lead Research Contract Analyst - Research & Education role at Tampa General Hospital.

This position is responsible for facilitating the preparation, drafting, negotiation, and execution of contractual agreements with trial sponsors on behalf of Tampa General Hospital (TGH). Coordinates efforts (both internal and external) to ensure that TGH, its suppliers, and customers have clear, fair, and legally binding contractual agreements. Leads efforts to develop team resources in conjunction with management. Performs job duties aligned with Tampa General Hospital's mission, vision, and values. This role is considered an advanced expert in clinical trial agreements and contracts.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Identifying opportunities to reduce timelines for complex negotiations with sponsors.
  2. Serving as liaison with the Joint Research Office to ensure efficient execution of budgets and contracts.
  3. Recommending policies and procedures for the unit and handling complex cases such as multiple providers, patents, licensing, major industrial contracts, or export control.
  4. Overseeing the establishment of new contracting processes.
  5. Creating and delivering educational content regarding the contracting process.
  6. Reviewing draft contract documents from sponsors/grantors, including Start-up Agreements, Work Orders, and Change Orders.
  7. Facilitating the negotiation and execution of Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements (CDAs).
  8. Drafting and editing contractual agreements based on standard templates and policies.
  9. Managing sponsor interactions and ensuring contracts reflect TGH's positions.
  10. Maintaining contract documentation in relevant databases.
  11. Developing tools, templates, policies, and procedures related to contracts.
  12. Providing quality deliverables within deadlines.
  13. Preparing contract approval timelines and leading follow-up efforts.
  14. Negotiating contract language to meet project and industry standards.
  15. Managing dissemination and filing of contractual agreements.
  16. Tracking contracts and correspondence, providing internal updates.
  17. Preparing management reports as needed.
  18. Participating in contract review meetings and team calls.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Legal Studies preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ clinical research experience; 1-2 years’ supervisory experience required.
