Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Staff Reliability Engineer in Livermore, CA to lead reliability qualification strategies for new products, design changes, and manufacturing transfers.

You will drive failure analysis investigations using SEM, FIB, FTIR and other techniques, and mentor junior engineers while advancing long-term reliability goals. Responsibilities include applying statistical methods (SPC, JMP) and CAPA programs in collaboration with Design, Quality, Manufacturing and Supply

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience
• Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and reliability tools including SPC and JMP
• Hands-on experience with advanced material characterization and failure-analysis instrumentation (SEM, FIB, FTIR, X-ray, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to mentor engineers and technicians

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability qualification strategies for new products, design changes, and manufacturing transfers.
• Lead complex failure analysis investigations across product, process, and manufacturing domains.
• Implement CAPA and data-driven improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical leadership and establish best practices for reliability engineering across programs.
