Job summary

Bracco Medical Technologies is seeking a Principal Reliability Engineer to champion product quality across the portfolio. You will lead reliability strategies from development to post-market performance, mentoring engineers and partnering with Systems Engineering, Quality, and cross-functional teams.

You will define reliability goals, analyze field data, drive risk management activities, and ensure design reviews are effective.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably systems, electrical, mechanical, bio-medical, or software, reliability, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with the Design for Reliability (DFR) and associated reliability processes.
• 5+ years in a product development system engineering role.
• Experience analyzing field, complaint, and service data to identify reliability trends and failure modes.
• Demonstrated experience leading root cause investigations and corrective actions for complex product failures.
• Familiarity with reliability risk management and design controls including ISO 14971 and ISO 13485.
• Strong communication across a business enterprise and with diverse audiences.
• Ability to travel ~10%

Responsibilities

• Define and lead Design for Reliability methodologies across hardware and software for new products.
• Mentor engineers to improve practices and domain knowledge.
• Develop business case and plan for reliability programs for senior management.
• Lead reliability planning, testing, and analysis in development and sustaining programs.
• Incorporate reliability requirements into products and quantify quality across the portfolio.
• Contribute to Technical Design Reviews and ensure effectiveness.
• Define strategy and roadmap for new reliability tools and processes.
• Be a technology advocate in business and customer interactions.
• Attract, develop, and retain engineering talent.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholder communication on technical updates.
