Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing and repairing protective relays in transmission, generation, or distribution substations.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot protection, control, and communication systems.
  • Experience leading field teams and coordinating projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead job site safety briefings and enforce safety policies.
  • Analyze protection schemes and perform relay installation, testing and commissioning.
  • Perform advanced end-to-end and functional testing using relay test equipment and software.
  • Read and validate protection and control schematics and configurations.
  • Mentor Relay Technician I/II and junior engineers.
