Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert Co is seeking a Sr. Relay Technician to supervise and perform electrical testing and maintenance in power stations. Responsibilities include leading safety briefings, analyzing power circuits, and managing complex projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with protective relays, a degree in Electrical technology, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Competitive pay is offered between $55.00 and $90.00 per hour along with comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time.
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.
• Capable of troubleshooting distribution and transmission controls circuits.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefings on job site and identify hazards.
• Analyze protection schemes for power circuits and other components.
• Perform installation, commissioning, testing, and function testing of substation control circuits.

Skills

Hands on experience installing, maintaining, testing & repairing protective relays

Knowledge of relay test software

Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education

Bachelor's or associate degree in electrical/Electronic technology or 4-year Engineering Degree

5+ years of relevant industry experience
