Qualifications

• Requires an AAS/BS in Electrical Technology or Engineering or AOS in Electrical Construction and Maintenance.
• Minimum three years of electrical experience in related field.
• Protective relaying experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving history.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain, and troubleshoot relays and related protection and control circuits in distribution, substation, and transmission systems.
• Perform functional testing of protection and control systems.
• Lead and assist other relay technicians in installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, and auxiliary substation equipment.
• Calibrate and test electromechanical and microprocessor-based protection and communication relays.
• Participate in safety discussions/meetings and follow company policies and standards.
