You will conceptualize design approaches for major project phases, supervise engineering work on routine projects, and exercise judgment to adapt standard techniques. Strong communication and mentoring skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Lead engineer on moderately complex studies interfacing with client and Mesa teams.
• Conceptualize initial design approach for major project phase.
• Exercise judgment in adapting standard techniques and criteria.
• Prepare and verify calculations using required software.
• Manage task assignments to meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Ensure deliverables comply with procedures and design requirements.
• Assist clients in meeting compliance requirements.
• Mentor less experienced associates.

Responsibilities

• Develop relay protection schemes using microprocessor-based relays.
• Perform protective device coordination for lines, buses, transformers, and reactors.
• Develop logic settings to support relay schemes.
• Perform area protective device coordination studies.
• Develop system component modeling.
