Mesa Associates, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer to perform and oversee protective relay studies for power delivery projects in a client-facing role.

You will coordinate with clients and internal teams to develop relay schemes, perform device coordination, and model system components using PSCAD, ETAP, and related tools. The position emphasizes design leadership, adherence to scope and schedule, and mentoring junior staff while maintaining high-quality deliverables for transmission and

Qualifications

Lead engineer on moderately complex studies interfacing with clients and Mesa teams.
Conceptualize initial design approaches for major project phases.
Diagnose and adapt standard techniques for new settings or criteria.
Prepare calculations with specialized software as required.

Responsibilities

Develop relay protection schemes for transmission and distribution assets.
Coordinate protective device actions for lines, buses, transformers, and reactors.
Create logic settings to support relay schemes.
Perform area protection studies and model system components.
