Job summary

Schaefer Plastics is seeking a Regrind Lead to coordinate daily regrind operations, supervise operators, and ensure safe, organized material handling. You will work closely with material handlers and production teams to maintain resin-type and color separation and to keep grinding areas compliant with safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and reliable shift communication, with responsibilities across labeling, storage, and process improvement in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experience.
• Previous lead or informal team leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to read labels, work instructions, safety information, and keep basic written records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily regrind activities and assign work based on production priorities.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and training to regrind operators.
• Ensure containers of regrind are labeled and stored correctly.
• Maintain material separation by resin type, color, and specifications to prevent contamination.
• Monitor material flow and communicate shortages or issues promptly.
• Keep grinding and staging areas clean and organized per safety standards.
• Complete shift records and communicate status to management.
