Job summary

Spring Grove Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in New Providence, NJ seeks a Lead RN for a full-time night shift (11 PM–7 AM). Compensation is $38–$50 per hour with same-day pay.

The Lead RN will provide hands-on clinical leadership, mentor nursing staff, and coordinate daily operations to ensure high-quality resident care. Requirements include an active NJ RN license, valid CPR/BLS, at least two years of nursing experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to oversee multiple

Qualifications

• Active NJ RN license required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Ability to manage multiple residents simultaneously.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience in a healthcare setting.
• Leadership training will be provided; prior supervisory experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per physician orders and care plans.

Responsibilities for Lead RN

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and accepted standards of nursing practice.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff, providing guidance and support throughout each shift.
• Assist with coordinating daily nursing operations to ensure quality resident care and appropriate staffing coverage.
• Monitor resident conditions, respond to changes in status, and communicate concerns to physicians and nursing leadership.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility requirements.
• Support compliance with infection-prevention, safety, and nursing policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote positive resident outcomes.
• Assist with orienting and training new nursing staff as needed.

Qualifications for Lead RN

• Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey required.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to effectively manage the care of multiple residents simultaneously.
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Previous supervisory experience is not required; leadership training will be provided.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations governing long-term care.
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, physicians, and community partners.
