Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or equivalent coursework.
- Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
- Master’s degree is required to sit for the RD exam as of 2024.
- Must maintain current licensure as required by state law.
- 3–5 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nutrition assessments.
- Develop nutrition care plans and monitor outcomes.
- Provide patient and family nutrition counseling and education.
- Lead the clinical nutrition team and train staff.
- Collaborate with medical providers, nursing, therapy, and culinary teams.
- Contribute to quality improvement activities and education materials.
- Schedule clinical nutrition staff to meet requirements.
