Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced estimator to manage estimating functions across regions, including budgets, staffing, and procurement support. The role focuses on applying established policies, supervising cost studies, and maintaining robust cost databases.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 10 years of related experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Manages and administers the estimating functions, budgets, staffing and work assignments.
• Implements estimating policies to meet corporate objectives.
• Assists project managers with negotiations of purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders during procurement.
• Supervises preparation of market cost studies, materials and methods, and updates the cost database.
• Reviews final estimate and proposal packages for accuracy and completeness.
• Contacts subcontractors and suppliers for outsource pricing.
• Performs additional duties as required.
