Job Title: Lead Regional Business Developer
Department: Onshore Management
Reports to: Director - Business Development
Location: Remote, Rocky Mountain, Desert Southwest
Base Salary Range: $142,039 - $177,549
The Lead Regional Business Developer will develop and maintain a portfolio of business opportunities including Greenfield development and acquisition of facilities in the assigned region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage site development of wind energy projects including establishment of site control, permitting of project sites, and management of community relations.
- Support project acquisition efforts including due diligence on potential acquisitions and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements.
- Be a key point of contact for project stakeholders, including landowners and local county officials.
- Strategically identify new business opportunities and work with internal technical support teams.
- Adhere to effective internal controls, including providing project development budgets, schedules, and other updates as required by senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or a directly related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years’ experience in energy project development.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and project management.
- Proficiency in Windows based business software applications, including Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or directly related field.
- Experience in wind power development.
- Experience in project management.
