Job summary

Publix Super Markets is seeking a Refrigeration Technician 3 to join our Facilities Refrigeration team. This full-time role focuses on HVACR repairs and maintenance for store refrigeration systems, while mentoring junior technicians and supporting corporate projects.

Eligible candidates will have HVAC/refrigeration trade training (or equivalent experience), an EPA Universal License, and a valid driver’s license. The position requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and overnight travel.

Qualifications

• HVAC or Refrigeration trade school completion or equivalent experience required.
• 5 years supermarket refrigeration service or 2 years as Refrigeration Technician 2.
• EPA Universal License required.
• Must be at least 20 years old with a valid driver license.
• Advanced electrical circuit troubleshooting skills required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of EMS systems (Danfoss and Emerson).
• Ability to lift, lower, climb ladders and walk on roofs.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and travel with overnight stays.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and perform HVACR repairs and general maintenance on refrigeration systems in retail stores, including complex issues.
• Train and mentor Refrigeration Technician 1s and 2s.
• Maintain accurate parts inventory during housekeeping duties.
• Support special refrigeration projects and assist with corporate initiatives.
