Job summary

CoolSys is hiring for a lead technical role overseeing commercial refrigeration projects in Orlando. The position leads a crew on site, performs copper brazing and refrigeration installations, and ensures safety and compliance across projects.

You will mentor apprentices and journeymen, manage schedules and costs, and coordinate with customers and general contractors to deliver on-time results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or related industry/trade.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of supermarket refrigeration install experience.
• Must have hands-on supermarket refrigeration install experience, copper brazing and wiring (underground and above ground).
• High school diploma, GED, or completion of trade program. College degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the project crew; manage 5–7 technicians on site.
• Track project schedule and report on job status and performance.
• Control job costs and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with peers, customers, GCs and subcontractors.
• Oversee PPE use and safe work behavior by all employees.
• Ensure compliance with installation policies, safety, time and attendance.
• May oversee 3rd party resources and supervise apprentices/journeymen.
