Job summary

YMCA of Memphis & The MId in Olive Branch, MS is seeking a part-time Reformer Pilates instructor to lead group reformer classes in a safe, engaging environment that welcomes participants of all levels.

You will teach routines emphasizing control, breath, alignment, and concentration to build strength, flexibility, and endurance; maintain certifications; and promote the YMCA's mission while adapting to diverse health and cultural needs.

Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid, AED, national certification are required.
• Pilates Mat and Pilates Reformer certifications are required.
• Suspension trainer Pilates and advanced Reformer/Mat may be required depending on formats taught.
• At least one year of experience teaching group exercise classes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, effective, uplifting reformer Pilates classes as directed to support YMCA mission.
• Maintain certifications and knowledge of best practices to assist members.
• Build authentic relationships with members and support their wellness goals.
• Observe and adjust classes to meet varied health, ability, and cultural needs.
• Promote classes and participate in scheduling and coverage to ensure a consistent experience.
