Job summary

Leidos seeks a Lead Software Test Developer for Early Systems Integration. Based in Gaithersburg, MD; Eagan, MN; or Egg Harbor, NJ, you will help deliver high-availability, safety-critical systems for national airspace modernization.

You will lead test activities, mentor teams, and collaborate across software and hardware disciplines. You will operate in a hybrid work model with 2–3 days in the office weekly, and support mission-critical programs with strong emphasis on quality and testability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4–8 years of relevant experience; Master’s with 2–6 years is acceptable
• Proficiency in Perl, Python and shell scripting
• Experience building real-time, multi-threaded, high-availability systems
• Experience leading integration and test activities for complex software systems
• Experience with Linux environments (Red Hat), VMs and hypervisors
• Familiarity with low-level communications protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, SCTP)
• US Citizenship required; ability to obtain Public Trust clearance and background investigations

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute integration and test plans for real-time systems
• Lead and mentor junior integrators and promote best practices in verification
• Collaborate with engineers and program leadership to ensure testability and schedule alignment
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-program collaboration
• Support system integration activities including hardware interfaces and low-level communications
• Ensure maintainability and reliability of mission-critical software systems
