Qualifications

• BS/MS in EE, CE, or CS with 8-12 years of experience, or a PhD with 8+ years of related work experience.
• US export control eligibility to work in Vector Atomic engineering roles.
• Embedded system architecture expertise and building software from the ground up.
• Deep understanding of hardware‑software interfaces (TCP, UART, MMAP) and low‑level programming.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting using profilers and simulators.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable in a lab setting.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Provide architectural direction for real‑time control systems and lead discussions.
• System Architecture: Design controllers on ARM SoC with drivers and reusable frameworks.
• Software Development: Write high‑performance production code in C/C++ and Rust.
• Control Theory & Implementation: Define and implement robust control loops and error handling.
• Hardware Collaboration: Lead board testing and hardware bring‑up with engineers.
• Mentorship: Guide junior and senior engineers through code reviews and coaching.
• Process Improvement: Evolve development tools, CI/CD, and testing infrastructure.
• Strategic Representation: Act as technical voice in cross‑functional reviews.
