Job summary

Impact Seven Inc. is seeking a Senior Development Accountant to lead accounting for development projects and related entities from predevelopment through stabilization and closeout.

This role focuses on real estate development within Finance, maintaining independent controls, reconciliations, documentation, and escalation of concerns; you will work with the Controller and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; GAAP knowledge required.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with general-ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with Section 3, HUD reporting systems, LIHTC, or similar programs is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, maintain ledgers, and complete month-end close for projects.
• Manage project accounting from predevelopment through closeout.
• Prepare draws and cost certifications; reconcile expenditures to budgets.
• Oversee contractor payables, change orders, lien waivers, and documentation.
• Support development underwriting, financial models, and funding applications.
• Assist with audits, tax returns, and regulatory reviews.
