Job summary

Stream Realty Partners, L.P. is seeking a Senior Development Accountant to manage accounting, financial reporting, and oversight for our development projects.

You will partner with Investments, Development, Construction, and Asset Management teams to ensure accurate budgeting and closed financials throughout the development lifecycle. You will lead project accounting, construction draw administration, capital management, and regulatory compliance, providing insights to support investment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–7 years of accounting in real estate development or related fields.
• Experience managing construction draws, funding, and lender reporting.
• Strong CIP accounting, capitalization principles, and budgeting.
• Experience reviewing invoices, tracking costs, retainage, and budgets.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete accounting records for development projects, investment entities, and joint ventures.
• Assist with project cash management and funding needs.
• Review and process construction invoices with proper coding.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.
• Ensure development costs are recorded per GAAP.
• Analyze project financial results and investigate variances.
• Perform capitalization analyses and capitalize costs appropriately.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support audits, lender reviews, and tax compliance as needed.
• Partner with Investments, Development, Construction, Asset Management, Treasury, and Corporate Accounting teams.
• Produce routine and ad hoc financial reports for management.
