JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Jersey City, NJ to modernize a web product with secure, scalable React experiences and robust Java/Spring Boot services. You will define front-end architecture, coordinate across APIs and data sources, and deliver production-ready AI-assisted features with a focus on safety, observability, and reliability.

You will drive end-to-end engineering excellence, champion accessible UI, contribute to SDLC, CI/CD, and cloud collaboration, and mentor

Formación

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts is required.
• 5+ years applied experience in full-stack development.
• Proficiency with React and backend Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience migrating to modern architectures and micro-frontends.
• Strong API integration across distributed systems with emphasis on reliability and security.
• Experience with testing, SDLC best practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and operational concerns.
• Knowledge of responsible AI usage in engineering workflows and safe adoption practices.

Responsabilidades

• Leads UI-forward React architecture focused on scalable, maintainable, performant, and accessible experiences.
• Modernizes from low-code to micro-frontends: migration strategy and rollout patterns.
• Delivers polished UX using reusable components and design-system patterns; convert Figma to responsive UI.
• Establishes UI engineering standards (state management, performance, telemetry).
• Designs and builds Java/Spring Boot backend services and APIs; microservices/REST; event-driven where appropriate.
• Integrates across multiple APIs/data sources with secure contracts (auth, sessions, caching).
• Builds production-ready chat/agentic features: streaming UX, tool/function calling, orchestration with retries/fallbacks.
• Drives engineering excellence: end-to-end troubleshooting, automated testing, CI/CD, cloud collaboration.
• Promotes enterprise AI-assisted development practices and validates AI outputs for correctness, performance, security.
