Job summary

MyCHN in the Greater Houston area seeks a Lead Registered Dental Assistant to guide a high-performing dental team. You will support dentists and hygienists, improve patient flow, and ensure accurate documentation.

This role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control, while advancing patient-centered care across MyCHN locations including Pearland, TX.

Qualifications

• RDA license required and graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Ability to lead and develop a dental team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support dental assistants to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent patient care
• Assist dentists and hygienists during examinations and procedures while maintaining efficient patient flow
• Oversee back-office workflow, scheduling support, and treatment coordination
• Ensure treatment notes, patient records, and clinical documentation are complete and accurate
• Manage dental supply inventory, equipment maintenance, and lab case readiness
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and safety protocols
• Train and onboard new dental assistants and support continuous team development
• Monitor emergency kits, sterilization equipment, and clinical readiness
• Collaborate with leadership to improve productivity, patient experience, and operational performance
• Support Whole Person Care initiatives and community outreach efforts
