Job summary

The Francis Howell School District seeks a RAVEN Robotics Head Sponsor to coordinate and support the districtwide FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) program. You will recruit students, organize teams, fundraise, plan practices, and prepare for competitions while fostering student leadership and collaboration across three district buildings.

Responsibilities include biweekly meetings, after-school practice coordination after 5:00 p.m., and ongoing program development.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize, coordinate, and support a districtwide extracurricular program.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, families, and community members.
• Interest in robotics, STEM education, engineering, or student-centered activities preferred.
• Ability to support student leadership, teamwork, and a positive learning environment.
• Availability to attend scheduled meetings, evening practices, and competition activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment and coordination for districtwide FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) program.
• Coordinate summer planning, fundraising strategies, and organizational structure.
• Schedule biweekly meetings and manage after-hours practice logistics.
• Support student development, teamwork, and project management skills.
• Engage with families, sponsors, and community supporters to sustain the program.
