Responsibilities

How will you make an impact?

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the overall operation within an assigned functional area, reporting to management
  • Ensure adequate operational coverage; responsible for scheduling and manpower utilization
  • Maintain a safe, dependable, and consistent operation
  • Conduct agent observations
  • Schedule and administer local training, including new hire training
  • Maintain supplies and inventory control logs
  • Prepare customer correspondence, investigate discrepancies, and compile statistical data for reports
  • Complete administrative duties
  • Perform station agent work within the ramp service operation as required
  • Load and unload baggage and cargo on and off aircraft
  • Transport items between terminals, aircraft, and the bag room using belt-loaders, tugs, carts, and other equipment
  • Marshal aircraft, working closely with teammates to ensure safety
  • Clean and service cabin interiors, including seatback pockets, cushions, tray tables, overhead bins, cockpit, galley, and lavatory
  • De-ice aircraft using appropriate equipment and chemicals, if applicable
  • Organize work groups and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 18
  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
  • Valid, unexpired, and unsuspended REAL ID-compliant state driver’s license or passport; some license restrictions may apply
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends, and days off, with reliable attendance
  • Flexibility to work additional hours on short notice due to operational needs
  • Ability to perform duties in various weather conditions and time constraints
  • Ability to carry, bend, lift, and turn with bags and items weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
  • Legal right to work in the United States
  • At least one year of customer service experience preferred
  • Previous team-lead experience preferred
  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership, initiative, and judgment qualities are essential
  • Administrative experience preferred
  • Good attendance record preferred
  • Previous airline experience, including knowledge of ticketing systems and ramp operations, may be desired at some locations
