Qualifications

• Two years' experience in a hospital x-ray department performing diagnostic work including special procedures equipment such as CAT scan, angiographic or neurographic equipment.
• Must have ARRT certification and maintain current registration in Radiography.
• Must hold a valid New York State license and registration as a Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiography.

Responsibilities

• Operate complex x-ray equipment to obtain radiographs using special procedures.
• Properly position patients and develop x-rays.
• Maintain radiographic files for prescribed retention period.
• Provide technical assistance and perform quality control; may supervise x-ray technicians and clerical staff.
