Details

+ Department: Diagnostic Radiology

+ Schedule: Full-time, Evening shift, 1430-2300 Monday-Friday.

+ Hospital: Ascension Via Christi, St. Francis

+ Location: Wichita, Kansas

Benefit options and eligibility vary by position. Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at the time of the offer.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead assigned staff in performing medical and diagnostic imaging activity or task.
  2. Ensure quality in imaging, patient care and work flow.
  3. Monitor patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy.
  4. Oversee quality control testing, equipment maintenance and trouble shooting.
  5. Serve as a resource to department staff as well as other members of the team as needed.
  6. Perform staff orientation, training, and coaching.
  7. Provide input to staff performance evaluation.
  8. Position patient and select anatomic and technical parameter accurately.
  9. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
  10. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  11. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure room, storage area, dressing room, film storage area and any other areas in department.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  1. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  2. Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  3. Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  1. High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

Two years diagnostic radiology experience
