Job summary

University Health in San Antonio is seeking a skilled radiologic technologist to perform radiologic procedures within ARRT guidelines and hospital policies, ensuring exams are completed promptly and accurately.

The role may supervise staff in the absence of senior technologists, provide administrative and technical guidance, and contribute to a patient-oriented environment through the health system’s guest relations program.

Qualifications

• Must be ARRT registered and hold Texas MRT certification, with current BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR/AED).
• Minimum one year of experience as a registered staff technologist; two years with supervisory skills preferred.
• Ambulatory clinic setting requires three years as a registered staff technologist or one year as a registered technologist and two years as a registered staff technologist.
• Must meet competency requirements for radiology technologist II.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures within professional parameters and University Health policies.
• Independently assumes responsibilities for senior staff in their absence in designated areas.
• Manages assigned staff personnel when appropriate; provides administrative and technical guidance.
• Complies with supervisor instructions; contributes to the Radiology team’s success.
• Promotes the Health System's guest relation program.
