Requirements include graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, 1 year radiography experience, Texas state registration, ARRT certification (or eligibility) with ARRT within 1 year, and BLS documentation. Shift: days, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• 1 year in diagnostic radiography.
• BLS certification by approved American Heart Association or Military Training Network.
• Texas State registration and ARRT certification or eligibility; ARRT within 1 year post graduation.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic radiographs using appropriate equipment and procedures.
• Assist practitioner with fluoroscopy and arthrography as needed.
• Prepare and administer contrast media as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Rotate through advanced diagnostic radiology areas and assess image quality.
• Provide patient instruction and ensure safety; maintain environment and equipment.
• Transport patients and handle film processing and filing as required.
