Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital is hiring a Lead Radiologic Technologist to oversee MRI operations and imaging services. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality patient care while providing supervisory leadership for the imaging team.

Requirements include a JRCERT‑accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT radiography certification, and at least 3 years of experience. BLS and regulatory knowledge are expected as well.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 3 years of technical experience.
• ARRT registration in Radiography.
• BLS certification.
• Demonstrated leadership and regulatory awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily imaging operations and provide leadership for the assigned area.
• Position requires 70% patient care and 30% supervisory functions.
• Promote imaging services and stay current with technology and equipment.
• Ensure accreditation standards are maintained.
• Operate MRI equipment and other devices as appropriate.
• Coordinate with Managers to maintain 24/7 staffing.

Responsibilities

Performs and supervises modality daily operations and provides leadership relative to the assigned area. This position requires 70 percent patient care and 30 percent supervisory functions. Promotes and advocates imaging services by remaining abreast of the latest changes in technology and equipment. The Lead Radiological Technologist ensures accreditations standards are maintained as well as performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of MRI equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate. Works closely with department Managers to ensure that the department is adequately staffed for 24/7 coverage.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of an JRCERT approved Radiologic Technology program.

Minimum Experience Required: 3-years of technical experience.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with certification in radiography.
