Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Lead Radiologic Technologist to oversee daily MRI operations and supervise staff.

The role requires 3 years of radiology experience, ARRT/ARDMS registration and BCLS, with AMA/JRCERT accreditation standards to maintain. Schedule is Monday–Thursday, 7:30 am–6 pm, with 24/7 department coverage.

You will collaborate with department managers to ensure proper staffing and high-quality imaging services across the facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT-accredited training.
• 3 years of technical radiology experience.
• Experience in personnel leadership.

The schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am - 6 pm.

Responsibilities

Performs and supervises modality daily operations and provides leadership relative to the assigned area. This position requires 70 percent patient care and 30 percent supervisory functions. Promotes and advocates imaging services by remaining abreast of the latest changes in technology and equipment. The Lead Radiological Technologist ensures accreditations standards are maintained as well as performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of MRI equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate. Works closely with department Managers to ensure that the department is adequately staffed for 24/7 coverage.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program. Required

Work Experience

• 3 years technical experience Required and
• Experience in leadership of personnel Required

Licenses and Certifications

• (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with certification in radiography Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
