Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) is seeking a Principal Radiological Control Technician based at the NNSS in Mercury, Nevada. The role focuses on radiological control, instrumentation checks, and adherence to DOE standards, with duties including leading teams and providing technical direction.

Responsibilities include training staff, generating radiation survey records, and coordinating with other technicians.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree or higher in a field related to radiological control or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years progressive related experience preferred in radiological control or similar roles.
• Current knowledge of industry and regulatory standards for radiological control (DOE/NRC).
• OJT/Instructor training or internal certification within 1 year preferred.
• Ability to work independently or in a team on diverse tasks.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook.

• Verify radiological instrumentation is functioning properly (air sampling, dose rate meters, contamination monitors).
• Provide technical direction and lead project activities.
• Train and mentor junior staff and ensure competency.
• Generate records for radiation surveys and logbooks per requirements.
• Coordinate work with other technical staff and departments.
