Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital seeks a Lead Radiologic Technologist to supervise modality daily operations and guide the assigned area with a focus on 24/7 coverage.

The role blends patient care (70%) with supervision (30%), ensuring imaging services stay current with new technology, maintaining accreditation standards, and coordinating with Managers to keep the department adequately staffed and ready for 24/7 coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training.
• Registered ARRT (R) radiologic technologist.
• Minimum of 3 years of technical experience.
• BLS certification and leadership experience; knowledge of regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs and supervises modality daily operations and provides leadership relative to the assigned area.
• 70 percent patient care and 30 percent supervisory functions.
• Promotes imaging services by staying abreast of changes in technology and equipment.
• Maintains accreditation standards and operates MRI and other imaging devices as appropriate.
• Works with department managers to ensure 24/7 staffing coverage.
