Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey is seeking a Radiologic Technologist Lead to provide specialized imaging for diagnostic interpretation. This role is based at RWJ New Brunswick with a night shift schedule and requires ARRT certification, NJ radiology licensure, and BLS.

The Lead Radiologic Technologist will perform radiographic procedures, ensure patient safety, manage equipment and PACS processing, and may assist in training student technologists while maintaining high standards of care.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiation Technology is required.
• NJ radiology license is required.
• BLS certification through AHA is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide radiographic images and position fluoroscopic equipment as instructed.
• Minimize radiation exposure and ensure patient comfort.
• Select and prepare contrast media for examinations as needed.
• Process radiographic images for PACS and ensure correct patient/body part labeling.
• Handle x-ray requests and assist in instruction of student technologists.
• Demonstrate the technical art to student radiographers.
