Job summary

American Family Care is seeking a Radiology Technician in New Jersey to perform radiographic and diagnostic imaging to aid physicians in diagnosing injuries and disease. You will also assist with administrative and clinical duties as appropriate.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, positioning them for procedures, applying ALARA principles, processing images for reading, and supporting the provider with treatments as needed. Franchise location variations may apply.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• ARRT-registered, BLS certification, and Diagnostic Radiography license required.
• Willingness to obtain certification for phlebotomy and vaccine administration.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain procedures in a compassionate manner.
• Position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques.
• Process and review images for quality and patient ID, prepare for physician reading.
• Utilize digital and non-digital imaging equipment per policy.
• Assist with prescribed patient treatments as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and arrange repairs when needed.
• Complete forms and maintain records of work performed.
• Serve as Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant if required.
• Other duties as assigned.
