Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) seeks a Lead Radiologic Technologist to join NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. The role focuses on supervising radiological services, ensuring adherence to standards, and contributing to service delivery improvements.

The position involves participation in training, performing radiologic procedures as needed, and engaging in quality assurance and equipment evaluation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the delivery of radiological services, in accordance with established standards and procedures, for the service area or unit.
  • Recommends changes and improvements relating to the delivery of radiological services.
  • Participates in the development of training programs for radiographic personnel, ancillary personnel, and allied health care professionals. Demonstrates new or revised techniques, procedures, and equipment.
  • May perform radiologic procedures, as required.
  • Performs special procedures, including diagnostic and interventional radiography (e.g., CT, MRI, and Mammography).
  • Participates in quality assurance activities, including coordination, control, and maintenance of technical equipment.
  • Participates in and coordinates procurement and storage of supplies and makes recommendations regarding supply and equipment needs.
  • Performs research and participates in special projects involving evaluation of equipment and delivery of service.

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Lead Radiologic Technologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.
