Job summary

Kool Toyota in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an experienced Quick Lube Technician Team Leader to join our service team. This hands-on leadership role guides the Quick Lube staff while performing maintenance and light repairs.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of automotive service experience and holds brake and suspension certifications. We offer full-time employment with competitive pay ($22/hour based on experience) and benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of automotive service experience required.
• Brake and suspension certification required.
• Experience performing routine maintenance, brake work, and suspension repairs.
• Strong mechanical ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, filters, and other routine maintenance
• Perform brake and suspension inspections, diagnosis, and repairs
• Complete multi-point vehicle inspections and identify needed maintenance or repairs
• Help lead the day-to-day workflow of the Quick Lube team
• Assist and support Quick Lube technicians with questions, repairs, and procedures
• Help ensure work is completed efficiently and accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow dealership and manufacturer service procedures
• Communicate vehicle concerns and recommended repairs to the appropriate service personnel
• Help maintain a positive, productive team environment
