Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Leadperson to bridge management and frontline operations at the Moore Quarry/plant. The role emphasizes safe, efficient production, planning, and directing daily tasks for the assigned crew.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety policies, coordinating maintenance, producing logs, and assisting with mining and monthly forecasts. Requires strong communication and leadership in a heavy equipment environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–4 years of heavy equipment experience required.
• Proficient written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to communicate clearly with multiple stakeholders.
• Self-starter with leadership and coaching abilities.
• Experience directing and motivating teams in a union/non-union setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct daily work for the assigned team.
• Enforce safety policies and conduct regular safety inspections.
• Operate/coordinate mobile equipment and perform manual tasks as needed.
• Maintain daily production, safety, and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with maintenance to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Assist management in developing mining, production, and forecast plans.
• Lead by example and foster a safe, productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
