Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–4 years of heavy equipment experience required.
• Proficient written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to communicate clearly with multiple stakeholders.
• Self-starter with leadership and coaching abilities.
• Experience directing and motivating teams in a union/non-union setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct daily work for the assigned team.
• Enforce safety policies and conduct regular safety inspections.
• Operate/coordinate mobile equipment and perform manual tasks as needed.
• Maintain daily production, safety, and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with maintenance to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs.

Under the immediate direction of the Moore Quarry Plant Manager, the Leadperson is a critical \"working supervisor\" role responsible for bridging the gap between management and frontline operations. The primary objective is to ensure safe, efficient production at plant or quarry operations by planning, organizing, and directing the daily work assignments of the assigned team.Job ResponsibilitiesImplement and enforce all federal (MSHA/OSHA), state, and company safety policies.Perform standard office duties, plant duties and operate mobile equipmentEstablish and maintain effective communication within all areas of operationPerform regular inspections of plant equipment for mechanical issues. Work with the maintenance team to schedule preventative maintenance and assist with repairs as needed.Accurately complete daily production, safety, and maintenance logs. Assist management in developing mining plans, profit plans, and monthly forecasts.Operate mobile equipment (loaders, dozers, haul trucks) and perform manual tasks (shoveling, sweeping, plant cleaning) to maintain housekeeping standards.Other duties as requested by management.Perform all activities in accordance with the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values, and in compliance with the Company’s policies, procedures and Code of Ethical Business Conduct.Work EnvironmentThis job operates frequently in an operations environment at a surface mine location.
