Job summary

Mountain Defense, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer / Manager to lead our quality program in Mentor, OH. You will oversee QA processes, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

You will develop and maintain QMS procedures (ITAR/CMMC where applicable), lead CAPA, manage internal and supplier audits, analyze quality metrics, and mentor the quality team to deliver robust product quality and on-time releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or quality management roles.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality standards.
• Experience with SPC, Six Sigma, or Lean methodologies preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Proficient with quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems and procedures.
• Lead root cause analysis and CAPA processes.
• Manage quality audits, internal and external.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain for improvement.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and improvements.

• Train and mentor quality team members on standards and best practices.
• Ensure products meet customer specs and regulatory standards before release.
• Manage documentation related to quality processes, inspections, and certifications.
