Cognizant, Johns Creek, GA, is seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to drive quality engineering delivery across a retail portfolio. Hybrid role with on-site presence three days a week (Tue–Thu).

You will lead QA transformation, own Jira stories, and coordinate with offshore teams while leveraging AI to boost productivity and quality. Qualified candidates bring 12+ years IT/QA experience, 6+ years leadership, 3+ years retail exposure, and hands-on Java/Python/JS with Playwright/Selenium/Cypress.

• At least 1 year of hands-on generative AI experience, with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

About the Role

As a Lead Quality Engineer – Portfolio, you will make an impact by leading quality engineering delivery and transformation across a retail portfolio while also providing hands‑on support to an assigned product team. You will be a valued member of the Software Engineering Group and work collaboratively with client stakeholders, product teams and offshore quality engineering teams to improve release quality and delivery outcomes.

In this role, you will

• Lead quality engineering delivery and transformation across the portfolio, building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Complete assigned Jira stories for the product team, including manual test design, test automation and sign-off activities.
• Coordinate with offshore quality engineers to ensure delivery expectations, service-level agreements and key performance indicators are met.
• Drive resolution of defects, test-data constraints and environment issues to remove delivery roadblocks.
• Use AI-enabled approaches to improve daily productivity, strengthen quality practices and improve release quality.

What you need to have to be considered

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is $83,100 - $131,500, depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job‑related factors.

In addition to salary, this role is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, subject to individual and company performance.
