Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead, Quality Engineer to join our Canoga Park, CA team. This role provides program Quality Engineering support across the lifecycle, from design through production, test and supplier involvement.

The successful candidate will drive quality improvements, interpret complex specifications, and lead corrective actions with suppliers while maintaining strict schedule commitments. A US security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with 9+ years in quality.
• Experience leading quality engineering for defense programs across lifecycle.
• Ability to obtain US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer requirements flow-down; hardware complies with specifications and handle deviations.
• Lead Six Sigma/Lean initiatives to reduce risk and improve processes.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions with internal teams and suppliers; support timely closure.
• Interpret drawings and quality requirements; support early design reviews for inspectability and producibility.
• Lead daily work to meet quality, cost, and schedule commitments; participate in MRB activities.
• Obtain a US LEVEL security clearance.
