Job summary

Master Machining, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector Lead for the 1st shift in Castle Hayne, NC. You will oversee the quality inspection team, perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure parts meet customer and industry standards.

You will read blueprints, measure with micrometers/calipers, and operate CMM when applicable. Maintain inspection records and drive continuous improvement under ISO 9000; overtime and some Saturdays may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience as quality control inspector in a machining/manufacturing environment (3+ years).
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools (3+ years).
• Knowledge of inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) (3+ years).
• Willingness to work overtime or occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machined parts using precision tools.
• Lead and support the quality inspection team in daily operations.
• Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for part compliance.
• Utilize CMM or comparable inspection equipment when applicable.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with machinists and leadership to resolve quality concerns.
• Document nonconformances and corrective actions; train team on procedures.
