Job summary

Encompass Family Support Services seeks a dedicated professional for a full-time dual role as QDDP/QIDP and Direct Support Professional (DSP) with 20 hours of direct care weekly. The role combines compliance, mentorship, and hands-on support for individuals in home and community settings, with a focus on quality outcomes.

The position requires leadership, strong documentation skills, and a commitment to advocacy for individuals with ID/DD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a qualifying professional field per ND Developmental Disabilities requirements.
• Able to travel across multiple locations and occasionally work remotely.
• A passion for advocating for individuals supported and families.
• QDDP/QIDP module certification preferred; or obtained within six months of hire.
• Minimum of 5 years of specific experience with agency services and programs.
• Minimum of 1 year direct experience working with individuals with ID/DD.
• Knowledge/expertise in Developmental Disabilities service systems and socioeconomic supports.
• Previous leadership, scheduling and supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in home/community and engage in community activities.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal cares.
• Complete all documentation and training requirements.
• Manage risk and ensure compliance with policies and procedures; aid audits and accreditations.
• Provide hands-on coaching and foster an inclusive culture.
• Increase community awareness through outreach, advocacy and relationship-building.
• Oversee DSP scheduling and ensure staff coverage; supervise DSP performance.
• Write OPS and collaborate with families to create meaningful goals and outcomes.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to needs as required.
