Job summary

QuestSpecialty Corporation seeks a QC Laboratory Supervisor in Brenham, TX to lead daily lab operations, coordinate testing and sample receipt, and manage COA processes. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive quality laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading laboratory personnel and managing workloads.
• Hands-on experience with multiple analytical platforms (GC, FTIR, Karl Fischer, pH, wet chemistry).
• Experience with CPARs, OOS/OOT investigations, and cross-functional follow-through.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and develop laboratory technicians; manage staffing and priorities.
• Perform routine and advanced analytical/testing, data review, and instrument troubleshooting.
• Document sample receipt and status in QC logs with sources and identifications.
• Coordinate testing of raw materials, production batches, and finished products; track to specs.
• Generate COAs from test results after review for accuracy and conformance.
• Review supplier COAs and batch records; resolve discrepancies and approve release within authority.
• Lead CPAR initiation, investigation, and closure with cross‑functional ownership.
• Lead investigations of complaints, OOS, and OOT with retained samples and evidence.
• Maintain calibration program and ensure instrument readiness and safety.
