Job summary

AbbVie seeks a QC Lab Supervisor I to oversee the organization and supervision of Lab Analysts and staff, ensuring day-to-day operations meet quality criteria and deadlines. This role manages resources, data review, and process improvements aligned with cGMP and safety standards.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a scientific field and 2+ years in QC lab work, with strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills to drive investigations and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Scientific field preferred (Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology).
• 2+ years of QC Lab experience required.
• Demonstrated scientific knowledge and technical expertise in chemistry, investigations, analytical lab equipment, and lab operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high performing team, including hiring, setting expectations, giving feedback, coaching, and staff development.
• Oversee laboratory group functions (Raw Materials, Finished Products, projects/validation samples, environmental monitoring).
• Identify when tests/results require attention and implement corrective actions.
• Review and approve data for analytical product release where required by regulatory needs.
• Support laboratory investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
