Job summary

MAC Products Inc. in South Kearny, NJ, is seeking a Lead QC Inspector to drive quality in a low-volume, high-mix shop. You will assign daily inspection work, mentor inspectors, and work with manufacturing and engineering to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

The role reports to the Quality Manager and requires hands-on experience with metal fabrication and GD&T. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of QC inspection experience, strong measurement skills (calipers, micrometers,

Qualifications

Minimum High school diploma or GED.
5+ years of hands-on QC inspection in machining, metal fabrication, or industrial manufacturing.
Low-volume, high-mix experience (job shop, custom fabrication, industrial equipment).
Knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T.
Proven root-cause problem solving (5 Whys, fishbone, 8D).
Experience training others or serving as a team’s go-to person.

Responsibilities

Inspect machined and fabricated metal parts and assemblies across a wide product range.
Assign and prioritize daily inspection work for the QC team.
Coach inspectors on measurement, blueprint reading, and inspection methods.
Investigate nonconformances to root cause and drive corrective actions with manufacturing and engineering.
Document and close out nonconformances and corrective actions.
Perform visual weld inspection (training provided).
