Job summary

Mountaire Farms is seeking a QA professional to ensure food quality and compliance with SOPs, FSIS regulations, Animal Welfare, and GFSI requirements within the QA department. This role also supports training and leadership in colleagues and may fulfill supervisory duties in the absence of salaried supervisors.

Responsibilities include monitoring production to verify specifications, providing QA training to Trainees and QA staff, performing regulatory and quality testing, calibrating equipment,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of relevant QA work experience.
• Pass written MTA testing.
• HACCP certification required.
• Completed QA Management Verification of at least one Animal Welfare task and all related training modules.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production to ensure product meets specifications; inform supervisor if not.
• Provide leadership and training on QA procedures to Trainees and QA colleagues; lead in supervisory absence.
• Perform regulatory, SSOP, SOP and Quality Attribute testing; calibrate tools and equipment; train and cross-train.
• Coordinate time management to perform tasks and participate in training to increase competency.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and SOPs; support Goal Zero mission.
