Job summary

Shamrock Business Consulting is seeking a QA/QC Manager to lead quality on a large industrial project in Vernon, TX. You will own the QC program, supervise the inspection team, and ensure mechanical systems are built, tested, and documented correctly before turnover.

Responsibilities include setting standards for HVAC/plumbing, managing inspections, handling NCRs, coordinating with AHJs, and driving turnover metrics and staffing plans.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years QA/QC inspection or construction quality experience, incl. 1–2 years supervising or managing.
• OSHA 30 certification before arriving on site.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and code compliance.
• Reads mechanical drawings and specs. Hands‑on with mechanical testing, inspections, and commissioning.
• Strong documenter and leader with a field‑first, safety‑first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build and run the QC program: project quality plans, ITPs, and inspection procedures.
• Set quality standards and acceptance criteria for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
• Lead the QC team, including inspectors and field foremen.
• Oversee mechanical inspections, pressure testing, flushing, and system verification.
• Run the non-conformance and corrective action process to closeout.
• Work with AHJs and commissioning teams. Support startup and functional testing.
• Track quality metrics, own turnover docs, and build QC staffing plans and budgets.
